Jane Cunningham

World Health Organisation/Global Malaria Programme

Jane Cunningham is a Medical Officer in the Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment unit of the WHO Global Malaria Programme (GMP). She coordinates WHO malaria diagnostic activities pertaining to case management, surveillance, procurement and quality assurance. Prior to joining GMP, Jane worked  in the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), managing diagnostic test evaluations, specimen banking and operational research projects for malaria, visceral leishmaniasis (VL) and tuberculosis. Jane holds Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specialist certificates in internal medicine and infectious diseases and is a past clinical fellow of Canadian Institute of Health Research.
