With nearly 2 decades of experience in the development sector and in philanthropy, Jayeeta has worked with a focus on health of rural, tribal and other underprivileged communities inhabiting in inaccessible geographies. Her competencies range from in Program Designing, Strategic Planning, Liaising with Government and Donors, Operations, Policy Analysis, Program Evaluation and Training. Jayeeta has worked extensively and intensively with civil society across different underdeveloped states of India and in South Asia through International Planned Parenthood Foundation before entering the philanthropic space.

Jayeeta has a strong multi-disciplinary background with Public Health Degree from Royal Topical Institute, Amsterdam and Post Graduate Degree in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics and is trained in Humanitarian Response from Humanitarian Academy, Harvard University.

At Tata Trusts, Jayeeta leads strategic initiatives in the health portfolio. She is the Programme Director for India Health Fund, seeded by Tata Trusts in partnership with The Global Fund and leads the Health Systems Platform, a joint initiative of Tata Trusts and Bill Melinda Gates Foundation. She also takes deep interest in palliative care in India.
