Mr. Leo Sora MAKITA

Mr Leo Makita is the Program Manager, Malaria and Vector borne Diseases at the PNG Department of Health. He has over 30 years experience in delivering malaria control interventions in PNG and has previously held the positions of Manager, Malaria surveillance and control unit, Central Public Health laboratory. He has completed attachments with CDC/WHO, and is passionate about working with the rural communities and the disadvantaged populations. He holds a Masters in Public Health, from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom and has completed Diploma in Applied Parasitology and Entomology, (DAP&E) Institute for Medical Research, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
