Paola Marchesini

She holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1983), a Master's degree in Community Medicine - Heidelberg University (Ruprecht-Karls) (1993) and a PhD in Demography from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1999) and Princeton University (sandwich).  She worked as a consultant for malaria at the World Health Organization, Geneva, from 1999 to 2004 and at the Pan American Health Organization in Brasília from 2005 to 2008. She has been a senior consultant for the National Malaria Control Program of the Brazilian Ministry of Health since 2008.  She is currently the technical responsible for the malaria unit of the General Coordination of Malaria Control and Diseases transmitted by Aedes Programs from the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
