Counsellor, Public Policy and Health Security, Australian High Commission to Papua New Guinea
Based in Port Moresby, Mr Robinson is responsible for the management of Australia’s development cooperation with PNG in the health sector. His responsibilities include engagement with national and subnational health leaders, and oversight of Australian contributions to PNG’s efforts to address issues including TB, malaria, HIV, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening. Prior to joining the High Commission, Mr Robinson worked for the Hon Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs, from 2015 to 2017, advising on subjects including the Pacific, South Asia, and consular affairs. He has previously been posted to the Philippines. Mr Robinson joined DFAT in 2007 and speaks Filipino, German and Spanish. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Arts and a Master of International Law. He is married with two children.
